Thank you all for the info. I went ahead and took Mels advice and ordered the Pure. I think as Scott pointed out I probably wont be up for the flavors for a bit so the unflavored will be best I think.

Thanks

And I dont know if I am invited but I would love to go to a taste test party if you have one

Instead of having evaporated milk on hand in the cupbaords, I'd have liquidated Bob, liquidated Michaela and Liquidated Steve. BUT on a lighter note, PROTEIN FIRST! bwahaha!  Does that make me a cannibal?

The only protein that I have tried is the unflavored Unjury. I mix it in Crystal Light orange sunrise and fruit punch. I have also in the last few days mixed the two together and I have just loved them. So this is my pick.

For me the protein powder that I like, if I'm making a "shake" (8oz of WATER, not milk and a scoop of powder) is the Lean Dessert by BSN.

It comes in a bright red canister.  I usually buy the "Wipped Vanilla" because I mix in a few different flavored syrups.  Lately I've been on either a coconut one, or Rasberry. YUMMY!

I ordered syntrax Nectar Fuzzy navel for right after
surgery and I have unjury no flavor. I also loooove
Champion Pure Whey Banana Scream and chocolate
for a few weeks after surgery. I am drinking these
already , because I'm trying to drop some pounds.
I ordered mine off of vitacost.com.

It won't be long now, I'm getting a little nervous are U?

Hey everyone, if Mel is getting a longer guest list than is comfortable, I will glady volunteer Centennial to host a protein party at the next support group on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:00 p.m. Kathy and I have been thinking about this for awhile - asking everyone to bring their favorite protein drink (that's legal - meaning right mix of calories/protein/carbs) so others can get an idea if it's something they would want to try. It would really help us with reviewing the exhaustive number of products out there to expand our list of options too. I don't want anyone from another program to worry about whether you would be welcome or not - YOU WOULD or if we would try and kidnap you as a patient - WE WOULDN'T. We have a great location for everyone to get together and try some protein!

Please let me know what you guys think - either through the OH board, or you can always e-mail me directly at [email protected]
