Hi, Rebecca. Thanks for the info. Which support group do you attend? I think groups are important in helping us succeed. That is the case for me anyway. :)

Hi Rosie, welcome to the TN board, I am not in Murfreesboro, but kinda close. Most of the hospitals have support groups, not sure of all of them in Murfreesboro, but I'm sure you will be reading post about most of them. We also have 2 other groups that meet once a month, both of these usually meet at a restaurant for lunch or dinner, also with these groups there is usually a clothes swap as well. That is where you bring your clothes that you have ungrown and are too big for you and swap them for things that other people bring, it is always a blast in the parking lots of these places, most of the passer-byer's don't have a clue as to what is going on.........lol

We have the Lunch Bunch that meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month @ 1:00, you can watch for Susan's post for all the information as far as the place.

We also have the Dinner Club that meets usually on the last Saturday on each month @ 6:00, you can watch for my post on this one. I sometimes may have to change the time and or date, due to conflicting things going on with everyone. I try to work it out so that most have the opporunity to join.

So again Welcome to the board and just jump right in and post,post,post........lol

Hi Rosie!

I also live in Murfreesboro! I think you will like it here. I know I do. I haven't gone to any of the local support groups because my work hours don't allow me. I have been to the Dinner Club and it is a blast! Haven't been to any of the Lunch Bunch yet, but I'm sure it is awesome as well. What brings you to Murfreesboro?

Hi, Laura. We are moving to Middle Tennessee for my husband's job. He is working in Franklin, and we are going to be living in M'boro. I'm pretty excited. We are hoping to really enjoy it there too. Have you always lived in Murfreesboro?

 Hi Rosie!

I was born and raised in Murfreesboro--it's a great place!  I still come down frequently to hang with the old folks (my parents).  When I was a kid, there were only about 30,000 people there.  It has grown exponentially lately!  HUGE!  I don't even recognize half the places there--where'd that new mall come from?!?

It's a great place with lots of stuff--restaurants, shopping, etc.  I remember when we were kids, we had to drive to Nashville just to go to Krystals!

I escaped to Bellevue 10 years ago (west side of Nashville) because I got tired of the long commute.  Of course after I left, they widened the interstate to umpteen lanes.  Oh well!  I must admit I love the 15 minute drive to work, though.

Welcome to the area and the boards--hope to meet you in person at one of the many activities here.  You should think of joining us for the Walk from Obesity in September!

Hugs!!!
