Accountability.......Still Standing Even If It Hurts

I hope everyone is doing well in life and on their journey. Sorry for the length of time it's been since posting.

Well, first off I'm down to 188 pounds and that feels ONEDERFUL! I recently found out that my magnesium level was low and I am now taking 400 mg. of magnesium a day. I'm also taking a B12 shot once a month due to low B12 levels, not totally deficient, THANK GOD! I'm still enrolled in school and have to drag myself to the computer now that I hurt I have very little interest in anything but getting this under control, but I'm still standing, even if it hurts.

This pain has nothing to do with the surgery. I am one frustrated individual, surely not the best of company right now. My hands and wrists get stiff and hurt as well as my shoulder being almost beyond use.

My PCP is working on this but it's taking time, that's the only part that I hate about it. I went to see her and told her that I hurt alll over especially in my joints and it feels like someone is ripping my spine out of me. She sent me for testing and naturally found that first off I do have osteoarthritis in my back and one of the panels that she did came back elevated. I'm thinking it was the ANA panel, so I will be going back for that lab because she wants to do a double strand on it.

Well, I will go for now, the old backbone is a botherin' me but I wanted to give in account for myself.

Diane, I am sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time with your back.  I hope that the doctor is able to give you something, or find a solution for your pain.  It's good to see you, and oh my, you're 188 lbs?  Wow, girl that is just great!

There is still a bedroom in my house just waiting on having an overnight guest.  Let me know when you are going to be in the area and you can stop in for a night visit.  We can hit Goodwill...  and then Vitamin Shoppe...  LOL.  The town will not be the same after that! bwahaha

Congratulations on your weight loss success!  Wonderful!

The pain you described in your hands & wrists raised a "rheumatological" flag for me.  And the elevated ANA panel really yells it.   I'm glad your PCP is double-testing your labs.   It's a rare PCP who is capable of rooting out a rheumatological problem, and it sounds like yours is really on the ball!

Good luck.  I hope you hit on just the right combination of things that gives you the most relief, very quickly.
