I swear , you sound just like me....I guess we all have pretty much the same symptoms. When they did my sleep test I had bad heart arrhythmias, my doctor put me on the a heart monitor for 48 hours to make sure it just did it at night. Well now it is carryng on in the day and driving me nuts. I can not stand my heart fluttering all day , some days are worse than others. I just did another saturation test for my sleep apena and they did get the arrhythmias to stop with the cpap machine.  Now my doctor feel like the only way to get rid of the arrhythmias is to lose this weight to get rid of my sleep apnea, so he is trying that angle also. He swears he is writing a book to get me approved!  I had a bunch of test run, treadmill, etc. for my heart and they seem to think it is carrying over from my sleep apena into the day since I don't really sleep at night . Who knows. I did have my six month diet in before and 3 different times of weigh****chers with it , but it wasn't detailed enough.  I agree with you , you think when your heart is involved or numerous surgeries down the road , they would just approve you. Such a long journey , I am glad we are all on it together ....All we can do is keep our fingers crossed..

Also A big hello  to Sunshine's Heart......I lived in Severville 21 years!! I worked at the Peddler in G-burg for 10 years (maybe why I gained this weight, all that good food! lol) I visit a bunch , but still miss it...... ~shell

Mrs. Standridge,
You mention you are on Tenncare I was wondering which Provider you have.. I hear that Americhoice is more likely to approve WLS more than other Tenncare Providers.

Wishing you a successful wls journey. I will be praying for you.

GOD BLESS YOU,
Angela

Hey Sonya,
I too have really bad back problems and although my doctor never suggested that I use a cane, I made sure to let her know that occasionally when my back hurts really bad I use my crutches.  I also made sure it was noted in my chart that I cannot use my crutches as much as I need to because using them aggravates my carpals tunnel.  This notation was only made at the end of my six month diet because Centennial gave me a copy of what Bluecare required for approval, and I made sure my doctor added it in her letter to Dr. Dyer/BlueCare (i got my crutches back in Jan '05 and used them for a couple of months before my back surgery). Just think back and go through your records and make sure there is some kind of mention of a cane, or crutches and resubmit., one mention should be all it takes. I will be continually praying for you...

Sonya:

DO have you doctor write a letter explaining how your obesity specifically affects your activities of daily living.  Make sure you appeal the denial. There is a big chance that your denial will be overturned and your surgery will be approved.  I work in the appeals dept, so please let me know if you have questions I can help you with!
