HELP - I CAN'T BREATHE!

Well I told you all that I would check in when I got my new "body contraption" for lack of a better word...  I got it in the mail today...  a body suit.  55% lycra spandex.  (Lipo in a Box is only 25% spandex).  Yes indeed, finest on the market.  It has sleeves for those who have batwings.  It has the full body, so backfat, say goodbye.  It has legs, say "tata" to those old saggy inner thighs...IF you can get the contraption on, that is!  (I also got the bra with sleeves but have not tried it yet. I am so excited about this one as it can be worn with spanx, assets, etc the long legged, high waist underwear...)

I am posting a picture of the suit.  I won't post a pic of me IN the suit... lol.  Let's just say I can't hardly breathe right now.  It was so hard to get on, I probably  needed a size medium but I got a small.  And, here is the mental picture I want to give you.

Me.  Lying half covered in a nude colored body suit, zipper down the front, on the floor. Tim, standing over me, pulling the suit together.  Me, trying to pull the zipper up.  Him. Letting go accidentally and spandex went flying apart and I heard "pop" like a rubberband against my skin.  Him, trying to pull it together again.  Me, wondering how this is going to work.  Me, pulling up the zipper.  And last but not least, Tim pulling me up off the floor, me stiff as a board cause I can't move, and then, Tim giving me a wedgee to pull the suit up as my torso wasn't in the right locatoion.

Now for my review.  It works!  I really thought I would be disappointed, AGAIN.  But, it works. It really does.  Now, if I can just somehow get a tiny oxygen tank under my armpit so I can take a few puffs every now and again.  I really can't breathe.  But dang, I LOOK GOOD!

*I did get a pair of size 2s out of the Goodwill box that i tried on SAturday and they did NOT fit. Well, they fit today whilst in "the suit".

You painted a good picture in words.  I can see it in my mind.  I would have to have one in two pieces.  My bottom and my top are different sizes.  I can wear a small or medium on top but need much larger on the bottom due to a hernia and still big legs.  I know what you mean about having a calling.  I get something in my mind that I just have to have and am relentless until I finally get it, then I move on to something else.  It's fun anyhow.  Hope you don't have too much trouble getting out of your new shaper.

You are braver than me, Mel. Things will have to be pretty serious after my weight loss for me to put on something like that. I am a creature of comfort. I like to breathe free and let is all hang out. My mind might change later. You can remind me I posted this if it does, but the thought of holding it or sucking it all in makes me tired.

Thank you so much for "going where no man has gone before"!  I can definitely see that this would be wonderful for a  formal occasion(like when my daughter gets married next Christmas)  But I may have to stick with Spanx for everyday.  Really, this is great the way you are researching all this!

I wore the body suit to Barnes & Noble. I kept feeling kinda uncomfortable.  My arms felt like they were being squished. That is my fault because when the lady went over my measurements with me, she said it all looked like a size small, but my arms.  I think she was right.  Why did I not listen??? I dunno.  I will call tomorrow to see if I can exchange for medium.  Also, it was VERY easy to GET OFF! lol...  If you want something to make you look smaller, or hold in your loose skin, this would be the product...  but, its a bit pricey so you would want to be near goal or at goal...  the lady at Nouvelle said that each person could contact her to go over measurements and she can instruct on what size.  She's been doing this a long time.  Also, they can customize suits BUT you can't return those.

I did try on the bra with sleeves.  Here it is.  And, I want to say that though I think I could get a medium in it also, it would work with just Assets or Spanx high waisted with leggings underwear.  I think one reason that you should get  a size higher than what you think is because THIS STUFF is really constricting!  Golly I go from biOtching cause none are tight enough to saying WTH?!?  Can't breathe in these suckers!  LOL.  So really, the next size up is probably better.  A person who needs the arm support would benefit from this bra with sleeves!  It is not a flimsy wimsy material either.  This is a sturdy garment that I don't think would rip if three men pulled on it.  I might be wrong, but I asked Tim to put his arms up inside my arms and pull out to try to get it a bit looser.  He almost picked me up off the floor trying to tug it!!

Two questions:
Was it hot?
Are those sleeves full length or 3/4?

I may have to have one of those!  Thanx, Mel!

Marilyn, the sleeves are 3/4.  I wish they were shorter, just above the elbow, BUT the lady *and I hate to just call her lady but I don't know her name* said that they can cut the sleeves. I bet if you wanted longer sleeves, they would customize it for you...  and if you don't want a zipper down the front, but want clasps like bra hooks, they will do that too...  Now oddly enough, I could not tell the zipper was down the front, which is something i had worried about.  They actually make their suits there, and that's why they have the ability to customize them.  Marilyn, I am going to wear it to work and tell you if it was hot.  I honestly will say it was a bit awkward the first time, but as I wore the suit, it got more comfortable. The lower body was very comfy.  The upper body, I think I needed a medium cause the arms did pinch me just a bit.... That's why if you all and get a recommendation, listen to her! LOL.  She said I was small everywhere, but in the arms...  and that seemed like a medium.  Well...  NOoooo I thought go ahead and send me the suit.  Wrong answer!!

BobL - why?  Cuz I'm a woman! lol.

For a person who is at their goal, and really cannot afford plastics, this would be a good option.  It does hold everything in.  I wouldn't wear it every single day, but definitely on days that I had clothing that needed a little more form or tayloring...

Now if they just made one that went under a bikini or tankini w/out a little skirt....my goal for the summer (next summer, that is), that would get my attention.

Wow--you are a brave woman........good luck w/that (I just keep laughing at the idea of you two trying to zip that up....OMGoodness!).

xo, Micheala.
