Lipo in a Box

Mel posted about this earlier and I just wanted to give a little more information.

Beginning tomorrow Lipo in a Box will be open to the public every Tuesday from 1:00pm til 6:00pm.  Prior to this it has only been a mail order company.  My friend Dafney works there and has raved about it for some time.  Saturday night I had a group of girls over and Dafney brought my first order from Lipo in a Box.  Everyone was so interested in it that I wound up modeling it for them.  I'm usually very reserved and couldn't believe I did it, but with my new body I was brave enough.  I got the body suit, so I was more covered then some of the teens you see out in public.

This company is very aware of our problems and also works closely with plastic surgeons for weight loss and cancer patients.

They are located at 515 Old Hickory Blvd.  I can't find a local number but their 800 number is:  866-547-6269.  Their website is:  lipoinabox. com

I'm going to try and be there around 1:00pm tomorrow.  So if any of you can be there then let me know because I would sure like to meet you.

Sorry guys, this one is just for the ladies!!!

I had been emailing the owner Connie Elder and talking to her about customizing a garment for me... I'm not certain if it will work...  I've spent the past week emailing different garment companies, asking if they would customize a garment for me...  and something that I am sure that the gastric community would buy...

I did finally talk to another wls patient from another board who has been working with Underworks...  and I did take a paint program, combine two garments that I have in mind for one garment, and am trying to get one created...  this garment would target every area that us as wls patients need... including:

upper, inner thighs, midsection tummy area,  , bat wings, breast skin under our arms that normally bulges out of tank top control shapewear, and backfat.  I hope that I am able to get one made, or else i might just take up sewing and make my own.

Wow, girlfriend you really have been working on this!  Keep us posted on how this is coming.  I can forsee you going into the business yourself if you can't get something made by someone else.  Who better to design something than the very people who did it.  Keep up the good work.

I get ideas all the time but just do not know what to do with them.  I also have another idea in the making...  but don't know how to go about getting it "out there".  Heck I've even suggested it on forums for someone who has an entrepreneurial mind and creativity.  I can think of stuff, but I don't know how to go about getting them done... I could probably sell stuff on my website though should I make something...  I am also thinking of doing an inspirational weight loss devotional and food journaling book, perhaps organize & create it and pay for it to be published myself...

I admire people who are creative.  I don't have a creative bone in my body.  Good luck with any and all of your projects.

OK I am going to give a little scenario that will surely make you laugh.  So I stayed up late last night thinking hard on these issues.  Looking at the internet.  Writing letters.  This morning I didn't feel good and stayed home.  so I had an idea.

I have 3 Assets garments, the high waist ones.  I got one out, put it on.  then I took another one, looked at how it was constructed, and cut the breathable cotton crotch triangle material out.  That freed up the crotch so that I could put this garment over my head, put my arms through the legs of it, and so basically it was in reverse, being worn upside down!  LOL.  I know, crazy.  If those two garments had been sewn together, or structured from teh beginning to be one garment, it would work!

I wrote an email to the owner of Spanx/Assets and told her what I had done, and how these garments could easily be manufactured with little change, just that it would require a longer garment and putting legs/crotch on both ends except one would be for your arms/head of course, LOL.  OK OK I know... I have to much time on my hands. But I am determined.  The only thing is, it would not provide a good smooth flow as is, it would all have to be one consistently flowing garment.

Hey, it did what I wanted it to do. Covered all areas!

Barbara, it was good to meet you today at the showroom.  I enjoyed being there!  And ya know, no one in that room looked their age!!  My gosh, I hope that's my fate... looking young and beautiful in the fifty plus years!

I like my garment.  Still wanting to make my own, but this one will do.  I still think my garment is a good idear.
