I'm home from the hospital!!

I just got home from the hospital.  Went in on wednesday with what we thought was a bowel obstruction. Dr. McDowell was out of town so I had Dr. Lynch.  He wanted to wait til friday  to see if it would clear up on it's own before doing surgery.  Well, it didn't.  Had surgery on friday.  From what he said it wasn't a bowel obstruction but an internal hernia.  It's actually a complication from my RNY surgery.  The part of my intestine that was rerouted during RNY had twisted and caught in a hole.  I don't know where this hole came from but he sewed it up. I still have alot of questions for Dr. McDowell because I haven't seen Dr. Lynch since before surgery.  I have to call tomorrow for appt with Dr. McDowell.  I don't have a clue as to how long I will be off work or anything else. Thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  I really want to thank Trina.  It just brightened my day yesterday when I turned the corner in the hallway and saw her standing there.

Melissa, thank goodness they found the problem and got it fixed.  Glad to hear that you are home, on the mend, and doing better...  Take care of yourself.

Oh, Melissa you have had just a hard time with your RNY!!!  I sure hope this is the end of it.  Glad Trina was able to get by to see you.

Thanks everybody!  And Bob, you are right.  Enough with the surgeries.  My insurance company is gonna drop me if I don't get better!  HAHA!  Hopefully this will be it.
