Hi, there. My name is Rosie and I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself, as it looks like I might be relocating back to the Volunteer state.

I am originally from NW Tennessee, but we have been in Alabama for almost 3 years now. My husband is in the process of transferring to Franklin with his job and the kids and I will be following at the end of the school year.

I had lap RNY in September 2008 and love the support group I attend here, but I'll be looking for a new one up there.  I'm not familiar with the area at all, so any info that you'd like to share with a newbie would be great! :)

Welcome to the Tennessee boards.  I know Baptist's support group is open to everyone (the first Tuesday of the month) and is fantastic.  There is a lunch group and a dinner group that meets monthly from the boards here.  I am sure others will speak up about the groups at some of the other hospitals.

Rosie--I just wanted to send you another note to say that when you get to Franklin let me know...I am going to be doing the Centennial Franklin Support group at the Williamson County Library...maybe we can meet up there...take care, Micheala.

Sounds good. It looks like the kids and i will be staying here until the end of the school year, but I'm sure we'll be spending lots of time up there on the weekends. Do you know were I can see a schedule of the meetings?

You can log onto the Centennial site at www.cmcwls.com and there will be a "search" box.  Type in "support group" and then page down...you will click on EVENT CALENDAR and it will show you every support group available.....I have no idea if they are just available to Centennial aftercare patients or not, but Pam Davis, who posts on this site often, would be able to answer that question for you....my thought is, the more the merrier!!!
