I GOT A DATE!!! RNY HERE I COME....
I just got off the phone w/Holly in Dr. Houston's office and we scheduled my surgery.....my preop is on March 2nd and my surgery is on March 17th (St. Paddy's Day)....so, I am hoping that Dr. Houston refrains from any desire to drink green beer prior to operating on me...lol...and I will have to find a green hospital gown b/c I don't want anyone pinching me for not wearing green while I am under anesthesia...;)...
I'm floating on air right now....so happy I am on my way! xo, Micheala.

Ha ha ha ha! The thought of you waking up with all those unusual bruises is a riot! I could see the line going out the door, each person waiting their turn to take a pinch.
You might wanna dye some hair green. What if they strip you down completely on the table?? I don't know if surgical drapes count as "wearing green!"
Is there a green flavored sugar free popsicle? If so, those should be a must once you get to recovery and back to consuming.
Still THRILLED for you!!!! But now I gotta work. Bleh.
Feet not to touch ground for at least 24 hours. Doctor's orders!
Love ya!!!

I'm so excited for you. I remember well how I felt the day I got my date. When you get calm again now is the time to get things ready. Stock your house with the foods you will need after surgery. Pack your bag and don't forget a robe for walking. Take big loose clothes to wear home. I was pretty swollen from all the IV fluids. A pillow from home will make you more comfortable in the hospital and also will help on the ride home in the car with all the bouncing. I actually had two as the surgery coordinator for my surgeon gave us a large keepsake pillow and a pen so that I could get all the nurses and aides to sign it before I left the hospital. It is a record of the beginning of my journey. It has come in real handy during recovery.
I truly wish you the best and hope you will not hesitate if you have any questions or concerns before the day arrives.
Blessings,
Karen
