1 yr Surgiversary

I know I haven't been on the TN board a lot but I felt that it was only fitting that I post my 1 yr surgiversary post update here also since I started on this board.

I started out at 355 lbs and now I weigh 205 lbs so that is 150 lb loss in my first year. It hasn't been easy, I've had my ups and downs but I'm thankful to God for this opportunity. I still have some of my health issues and I just recently started having seizures again after 2 yrs of not having them. I still say this is the best decision I've made.

Today is bittersweet because last year when I had surgery my mom and dad was there, today my dad is in the hospital for the second time for a serious infection in his foot (he's diabetic) and my mom is in a center for alzheimers and doesn't know what year it is and doesn't know who I am on the phone unless someone tells her and even then she forgets. A lot has happened this year.

Thanks to the TN board for your support and Susan thanks for sharing the info. for the new carbmasters yogurt flavors. Y'all take care and God bless.

Congratulations on such a successful weight loss! I can only hope to lose that much weight in a year, but if I just come close, I'll be happy.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with your family situation. I visited my grandmother in the nursing home on Monday and cried all the way home. Dementia is a horrible thing.

Hi Rita, long time no see!

Congrats on the one year surversary.  I remember the first time I met you.  It was at the picnic we had at Two Rivers Park.  If my "old age" memory recalls, you were wearing your "skinny capris".  I bet they just fall off ya now?

I'll keep you and your Dad in my thoughts and prayers.  Take care and don't be a stranger!

Thanks y'all. Yeah Scott the "skinny" capris are way to big now. I'm wearing a size 14 now in pants and a large in tops so I need skinnier capris. lol
