Six Flags Atlanta and riding rides being overweight
Hi all!
I am planning a trip down to Atlanta the first weekend in April and will be going to Six Flags.
Just a little bit about myself: I had surgery on Aug 18th in 2008. I started at 359lbs and now down to 234lbs (yeah!!). I'm down to a size XL in shirt from a 4x and down to size 38 in pants from a TIGHT 48.
I'm really excited about the weight loss and still have a bit more to go (about 58 lbs).
I've had some bad experiences on theme park rides at 3 different parks in the past. One was at Six Flags Over Georgia and in front of a signifate other, and other times at Kings Island in OH, and the most recent at Six Flags in KY.
I already bought the season pass (I will use a couple of times this year and it was only $10 more then one day price), but am really nervous about going and getting turned away, even with such a successful, but not completed weight loss.
I feel really good about the weight loss thus far, but don't want to "kill" that feeling and ruin something that is so big.
Has anyone been to the park lately and have any issues, or stories about riding any of the roller coasters?
Thanks
Michael.

According to their FAQ
What is considered exceptional size where rides are concerned?
Safety is our number one priority. Guests with certain body proportions, height and/or weight may not be able to participate on certain rides if the safety restraints will not operate as designed. Specific ride information is available at the ride and at Guest Relations.
I wonder if you call if they could give you more specific information about each ride?
Of course I don't think you'll have any problems, you seem to be a pretty normal size for a man but I understand the worry...the incident I had (Six Flags in Virginia) has kept me away from amusement parks for more than a decade.

Thank you all for the wonderful replys!!!
I do still think that I'm a big guy!! But when you've been large for most if not all of your life, then that's what I know.
I cannot remember being this "small" EVER!
I went and bought the season pass online and also payed for hotel for the weekend, so I WILL be going... Just don't want to have that experience again like the last three times.
