Surprising NSV...for me anyway!

For all you newbies, NSV stands for Non Surgical Victory.  It took me months to figure that out!

I had WLS mostly for health reasons.  I had fairly severe respiratory problems, out of control diabetes, and needed a partial knee replacement.  I knew that I wasn't having to take as many meds as before but this weekend, it really became apparent for me.  I got my overview from the pharmacy for my medications for 2008, and compared it to 2007.  In 2007, my part of my prescription costs was $4300.  In 2008, my part was $970!  And, that is with all the muscle relaxers and pain meds for my shoulder and neck!  Now that is a NSV I can sink my teeth into!
Sending smiles you way for a Happy Day!

Well I must have had it wrong all these two years. I thought NSV was "non scale victory"...  things that we can do as a result of our surgeries but not necessarily having to do with the number on the scale...

Ok, I had a brain fart.  I did mean non scale victory, but typed surgical for some dumb reason.  Alzheimer's here I come!!!

Amazing, Marilyn!  I am hoping that over time, my meds will go down like that too.  I know I spent about $3000 just on my part.  It may take awhile, but I can't wait to ditch the injectable diabetes medicine, Byetta.

Hope your shoulder is feeling better (and the cat is not needing to go to the vet = jammed in his crate!  hee hee!)!

Congrats!
