GRE my first major hurder since WLS

I am applying to go back to get my PhD in Exceptional Education, and one of the requirements is the GRE a standardized test which I guess tells them if you are smart enough to be in the PhD program. (I HATE standardized testing, I think it is the worse way to judge anyone, but I won't get on my soapbox about that now!)

I have been working with the GRE help book on the Math section every free minute of the day for a while, (which is one reason I've been a lurker and not a poster lately on the boards.)   I took the GRE yesterday (10 - 15 days before I get the results) and as I drove home I realized, as stressed as I've been I didn't go for an unhealthy snack, I didn't overeat, I stuck with my diet and yes, stuck with my exercise.

I don't know if I passed the GRE test, but I sure feel like I've passed a MAJOR hurdle in not stress eating!!!  I'm going to relax until the results!   (and if I need to take it again, I will study again, and I wistress but I won't stress eat!!)

Thank you all, &
Congratz to all the new loosers!!!!!!!

You go girl that is awesome. It is funny that you posted this morning I was telling Phil last night that I am going to have to PM you and see what the heck is going on with you, because I haven't seen you posting in a few days............lol

I'm sure you will do just fine, be sure to keep us posted when you find out. The stress eating is/was a big deal for alot of us and it sure seem's like you have cleared that hurdle.

Keep up the good work.

I know it must feel good to know that you got past this without running to the fridge!   I am a stress snacker too.  Good for you!  Congrats!

Eeeew, the GRE!  I was too cheap to take the expensive old test, and decided I wasn't really dedicated to go to graduate school.   At least not for molecular biology type stuff.  Meh.

I am so impressed with your mind shift to not turn to food in stressful times!  I suspect that realization was worth the price of the testing alone!  I'm still struggling with it, but these things take time. Fortunately, I have success stories like you to give me some inspiration.  It CAN be done!

Congrats and I hope you kicked some standardized test BUTT!

Hugs!!!
