Anybody ever gotten anything "unstuck"?

I think I have a pill (Osteo Bi Flex) stuck in my stoma.  I woke at 3 am throwing up and have held nothing down since, not even hot tea.  I have been taking it for months, but last night I took my meds late and didn't drink much with the pills because I also ate dinner late.  Bad mistake.  Anyway, before I take the trip to Clarksville to get an endoscope, has anyone been able to get it to pass on through without outside interference?  Live and learn, I guess.  First complication in 13 months!

Marilyn, I've not had anything like that happen.  Just wanted to let you know that I hope it goes down on its own.  Don't wait too long, though.  Good Luck and keep up posted.

Are you able to keep anything down? I would suggest to keep sipping on water. If you don't feel that its helping call Judy at Dr Bolar's office. She should be able to give you some more advice.

Hope you get it unstuck!

I think it is unstuck now!  I got some advice, took it, and now I think it is gone.  I am going to do soft foods for a couple of days to be sure my pouch is ok.  It was miserable, I couldn't even keep down sips of water!

Glad you're feeling better!  I wish I could remember the recipe, but someone on the boards had what they called "Bariatric Drano" for situations like this.

Maybe someone will remember it and post later!  It's H**L when you start
getting old!

Bariatric Drano is a tsp of meat tenderizer in 1 oz of warm water. This is only for protein that is stuck though.

I've never used the "Baratric Draino" but I think it's a teaspoon of meat tenderizer in something ....does that sound  right.
