Anybody in Memphis?

It seems like most everybody on here is the Nashville area!  I'm actually in Mississippi, but am closer to Memphis.

Hello I am not in Memphis but we have one thing in common and that is we are under Dr.Weaver.

Yep, you're not very far from mem though!  Are you going to the meeting next Thursday nite at the hospital?  I am planning on it, I got someone to coever for me at work so I can go!  I sent in my application packet today and saw my PCP to begin my supervised diet, so hopefully I will have a date in the not so far future!

Congrats on getting started with everything.Unfortunately I will not be going to the meeting.It is too far for me to drive alone at night time.If it was during the day I would go.

I am under Dr. Weavers care also.  Scheduled for 2/9/09.  Next Monday.   I probably won't feel like coming to the meeting next Thursday since my surgery is scheduled for the 9th.  Next Monday.

I usually work on Thursdays, but I got someone to cover for me this time, I am trying to get a friend to swap a day with me so I can start coming every month....we'll see how that goes!

Hey Cathy, I just PM'd you. Hope I did it right. I too have my surgery on Monday with Dr.  Weaver. I live in Arkansas. How is you week going?

I am in Memphis. Technically, Southaven, MS. I was originally with Dr. Weaver, but I was impatient so I switched to Dr. Houston in Nashville. I was approved for the surgery back in Sept, but because of some issues with Dr. Weaver's office, I wasn't going to get a surgery date until April or May. I called Dr. Houston's office on Nov. 12th, and they got me a surgery date on Dec. 16th. Anyway, I heard everything is back up and running at Dr. Weaver's office now, and I know she is an amazing surgeon. Good luck with everything!!!

I am in Memphis.  Also a Weaver patient.  Dr. Weaver's wait is still a few months out...she's a busy lady!  I just got approved for the Lap Band and my surgery date is March 30th....acutally I have had my date for a month or so...

I will be at the meeting on Thursday if I remember.  I work at St. Francis so it is hard for me to turn around and go back to "work" after I have just worked all day. 

I hope it is a good meeting, last month was not so interesting...

Hey Cathy, great news on your Surgery Date.  I was wondering when/if you ever got it all straightened out.  I will be thinking of you.  You better come to the March meeting if you are feeling better!!!
