FINALLY!!!!! Houston, we have TAKE OFF!!!

I weighed in at the Vandy clinic at 244.5 pounds!!!!!  I needed to be 246.0 to submit to insurance, and came in a pound and a half lower than that on their scale--yippeeeeeeee!!!

Jessica, the dietician with the unfortunate office by the scale, laughed at my weigh in antics, put my weight in my chart and hunted down my insurance gal, Cynthia to tell her the good news!

Now I sit back and wait (and drink my Carnation Instant Breakfast, as I postponed b'fast to avoid having dead weight in my stomach and on the scale!) and let the clinic and insurance company do their thing.

Hopefully insurance will go smoothly and having these co-morbidities will pay off for something.  I'm bouncing off the walls and am super excited!  Yeah, I'm betting I don't get much work done today.  hee hee!

Thank you guys for the support!!!

woo hoo!   Congrats on that!  I love that scale there!  It seems to be lower than anywhere else!  I avoid all other scales now and just wait for the doc visit!  lol

I love your new picture, Missy!  Loooookin HOT!

Thanks, I'm very excited!  On to the next hurdle!

I do amuse myself with the whole thing, though.  Life is too short to not laugh at it!   I staggered on to the scale this morning pre workout.  Ooh, naked = 246.6!  I was thrilled as it had been bouncing up to the low 250s.  I was pumped, so added some extra peppy music to my workout.

Post workout and, ahem, bathroom weight = 246.0!  What the?!  Ohhh, yeah!

Last time I weighed in I was close, but no cigar.  I'm also a huge dork.  So before I left the house last time, I weighed in clothes and then compared that to my clinic weight with clothes.  I did all these calculations (carry the 1) and determined the factor between at home naked/post potty break compared to the Vanderbilt scale, clothed.

I thought I would come in either right at or barely under the mark.  So I skipped breakfast (carried in 2 cups of skim milk for a big shake after), didn't drink anything or take meds (calcium is HEAVY!) and high tailed it to the clinic.

My math was waaay off (forgetting last time I had eaten--the breakfast coefficient!), but at least it was off in the right direction!  I was hoping to weigh just under 246.  So the extra teeny bit was just a bonus!  Needless to say I've just been sitting around emailing people about it, instead of working.

Now we wait.  And, God forbid, work.  Maaaaaan.

I'm with ya--I love that scale!  Especially today!!!!

 Thanks, Dennie!!!

Did I read correctly--your surgery is on MONDAY?!?  I am really loving 2009, I tell ya!

So is JennType1 going to post here and let us know how things are going?  I hope so, as I'd hate to have to stalk you!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the insurance thing.  Co-morbidities, don't fail me now!

Yes, you read correctly.   MONDAY!!!   Yikes!   I'm really not terribly freaked, all in all.   I've been trying to get this done for about 3 years now.

Yes, I think my hubby will call her when I get out of surgery and let her know how everything went.   Isn't that sweet of her?!
