preop testing

 I'm scheduled for preop labs tomorrow @ 3:30. My info sheet doesn't mention anything about eating after midnight or taking meds. I have a cold, so I'm wondering if I can take my cold meds or eat/drink juice. Can anyone help me? Do I need to just reschedule my testing until i'm over my cold? My surgery is next Tuesday

You might want to call the dr.'s office to find out.  If you're just doing blood work you might be ok.  If you're doing and upper GI you can't eat or drink.  Call your dr. to find out for sure.  Good Luck!!
