NY Challenge

Well, good news and bad, all at the same time.

The good news is, we have finished our first challenge for the year nad hopefully we have all done well.  In fact, I have already heard from several people and the results are staggering!  The bad news, my computer crashed yesterday and I lost all of my data on what everyone was going to lose for the month.

What makes me sick to my stomach is, I have also lost all my pictures that I have been taking to journal my weight loss!  I tried to recover them, but to no avail!  I have lost all the Lunch Bunch pics, as well as any documents that I used in my blog!

I guess the only thing to do is don my Doris Day outfit and start singing:

Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be!
The future's not ours to see,
Que, sera sera!

My true age is now showing!  I can't remember what I did yesterday, but I can remember 40 years ago!  What's up with that?

Anyway, time to check in and tell us how much you have lost this past month!  Here is a link to the original post.  This will help in determing where we started, and what your goal was!

NEW YEAR CHALLENGE

I've already heard from the following:

Scott
Starting weight: 190 lbs.
Goal: 2 lbs.
Weight lost: 0 lbs. (But I did not gain either!)

Baboo

Goal: 10 lbs.
Weight lost: 19 lbs.

Amy B.

So, whose next? And stay tuned for the Febuary Sweetheart Challenge!

YIKES, Scott, so sorry to hear about your computer!   Luckily you have your website with the pictures, so while it is not all of them, it is some.

Great job on maintaining, too, Scott and WOW, Baboo..  19lbs!  NICE!

I didn't make my goal, but I'll be better prepared to estimate a weight for the next challenge!

HUGS to everyone and have a beautiful day!
Finally warm and sunny!!!  I cannot wait until after church to take a l-o-n-g walk outside!!!!!!

Aw, that stinks on your computer and pictures.  Hopefully you will be able to recover both.

Ok, I was not as diligent on the exercise part of my goal as I should have been but the weight loss portion is on-target.

From Christmas I was teetering around 160-162.  At the beginning of the challenge I was 162 and thought 4 pounds was a realistic goal.

ok, the stats:

SW: 162
GW 158
CW 157

Down 5 pounds

Hi Scott,
I was looking at your profile page. All your Flickr pictures are there. There are lots of lunch bunch pics. If, I did the math correct you have 1,400 + pics there. I know you are the computer expert so, I am sure you must be missing more than is in Flickr. Anyway you have tons there. I have lost all my info several times. It kills me when that happens.

Good luck, Ellen

Thanks Ellen!  Yeah, I've been spending most of the weekend downloading and storing those pics on my new best friend...an external hard drive!  Been missing you around here.

Oh yeah, I'll be getting my new camera this week.  A Nikon D90 with a 18-105mm, a 70-300mm zoom, and a 50mm prime lens!  It's my retirement gift after working at HG Hills for 28 years!

See ya soon!
Scott thumbs up
