Insurance HELP!!!!!!!!!

As most of you know I have been without insurance since May 1st of last year. Well as of Feb 1st I will be on Medicare, but I am still in need of a Medigap policy to pick up where Medicare stops. I have enrolled in a Drug plan allready, so that is taken care of, but I am in desperate need of this Medigap policy. Does anyone/anybody have any experience with this or any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Cheryl

Thanks Erika, getting on Medicare is for sure going to help out with things. I have went so long without some of my meds and not going to doctor's appointments. So I have got make several and get caught up on everything. I have put off having some things looked at, so I am concerned about some of those. I will probably be spending most of Feb at the doctor and or hospital, but at least now I able to.

Your day is getting real close. Are you ready? Have you stocked piled your essentials (sp)? Especially the SF popsciles (sp) they will be one of your best buds.............lol

Will there be someone that will be able to post to let us know how things go on surgery day?

The best would be Tenncare if you qualify, then you cant be billed for anything ever. But if you dont qualify, make sure you get an insurance that covers Medicare ded and coinsurance, and has no patient responsibility after both. I have seen so many that lie to patients to get the sell.

Good Luck

Yeah we have gone that route and filled out the paperwork, and it doesn't seem like that will work either. I hear you about the deductible and coinsurance. There are soooooooooo many plans out there and are so confusing. I was hoping someone on here would know of something that worked, so I wouldn't be going into it with blinder's on.

Thanks,
Cheryl

I talked to my neice who is on Medicare, but she has TennCare to compensate.  Mom and Dad are the only other ones I knew, and they have AARP supplemental insurance, but you have to be 50.

Good luck!  I wish I could be of more help.

Thanks for the info Amy. I have talked with AARP and I know about their age qualifications, so I am still looking.

Cheryl,

My friend's husband sells Medigap insurance.  I will give her a call today and get his cell phone number and/or e-mail address so you can contact him.  He is very trustworthy and even if you don't buy from him, he will be able to give you good information.
