Dear Abby:
I pay my landlady $50 a week or $200 a month for my food plus one third of the electric, water, and cable bill. I thought that was a good deal. But she takes the money and buys food that I can't eat or it's not enough for 3 adults to eat plus the 3 dogs. They have a 40 lb bag of dog food, but she'll fix them each a dish of what we are having for dinner before we can eat. Like last Sunday, I fixed a small pot roast and only had 3 potatoes to add to it. She fixed all three dogs a plate before we could eat so there wasn't much left for our dinner. What should I do, or say to her about this. Richard says she's done that ever since he moved in a year ago. Tonight she made really small hamburger patties knowing that Richard can't have the fat or anything fried. When I made the burgers a little bit bigger, she complained saying that she wouldn't have enough to give to the dogs. I don't have the money to go buy my food as I have given her more then what we agreed on. I get paid next week, and I plan on buying my own food, and I dare to see it on a plate for the dogs.
How should I handle this without hurting her feelings? Richard and I can't have all the beef and pork she buys and everything is fried. The smell alone makes me sick just smelling anything being fried. Helpful tips or hints would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
