Hey yall,  I just wanna ask about insurances, I have no insurance right now and am told by various carriers that I am a high risk and uninsurable.  My staffing firm does not offer insurance and all I want to know is, is there any insurances out there that you can get outright and covers bariatric surgery?  Im at my witts end here yall.  I caint afford to pay outright, and no insurance will accept me.  Please if you have any information, please reply to this thread.

I understand that Starbucks offers insurance after working there at some part-time level for 3 months.   I know sevberal (well, okay, 2) people who have worked there in order to get the surgery.    I think that one of the big-box home improvement stores like Home Depot or Lowes offers the insurance as well.

ETA:   That's the closest *I've* heard of to high risk people being able to buy their own insurance.   Once one company refuses to insure you, they pretty much all will.

Good luck!

lol I wish there was a Starbucks around here.  And my town is pretty much desperate for jobs.  I work in a very good place doing data entry. It pays very well but its a temp position, I hope it goes perm this time.  I need insurance so badly, not for only the surgery but just for the basics.  I havent had insurance in almost 3 years now.   Thank you for your post, If there was a Starbucks I could work at around here, I would be so hyper lol :P

I'm sorry, I really do not know of any insurances that are offered outside of an employer insurance.  But, I hope you are able to find a solution.  I'm not sure what your income is, but perhaps with your health problems (and I'm not sure of your financial situation), do you qualify for Tenncare?  (I don't know much about that either...)  Welcome to the board, and good luck!  I hope someone on here might have an answer for you.
