Off-Topic: Hair Stylist in Nashville

Does anyone here know any stylists who do brilliant haircuts? I'm a month out of surgery, and am thinking about my upcoming hair loss. Fortunately, I'm not phobic about having short hair (thanks to a Dad who couldn't bear to hear me crying when Mom would brush knots out of my hair...One day, he carted me off to his barber and that was that), which should hide the loss and accomodate the regrowth when it happens.

I'd rather not pay through the nose, but maybe I'd go as far as paying through one nostril. But not both nostrils!!! I'd prefer that whoever it is not have attitudes about working on fat women.

Any suggestions?

God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny.

Hi Sarah!

I wish I could help you.  Just wanted to stop in and see how things were going at one month?  Hope everything is fine, and good luck in finding a hair stylist!

I usually do my own!  As you can tell, I live by the mantra...

Have  a good day!

Things are well. I'm burping a lot, but otherwise I feel okay. I've lost a good chunk of weight, and my energy is pretty good, if not quite back up to normal. How are you?

Sarah,
I am not from Nashville, so I have no idea about a stylist.  But, why do you think that you will automatically lose your hair?  I am almost 13 months out and have never lost any more than I normally would with menopause.  You don't have to lose your hair, that is a fallacy.  If you get enough protein, vitamins, and biotin, you should not lose your hair.

I'm playing the odds. Almost everyone I've spoken to who has has the RNY or DS has lost hair.

How about a stylist who is a WLS patient herself??

Susan Kopp is located at Style America in Hendersonville. The store is right off the bypass near a Kohl's, Ross, Target, World Market, Stein Mart, Kroger, etc.

She only works Saturday's but she is lots of fun and does a wonderful job.

Her number is 826-0606. Tell her Susan Jones sent you and she will probably give you the "Friends" discount.

Eh. I have to work Saturdays, so that probably won't work. A pity, she sounds terrific.
