I got my surgery date

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Missy C.'s husband, and I got my surgery date, which will be Feb 12. @ 9:30 am @ Vanderbilt with Dr. Brandon Williams. I'm not too scared, even with all I watched Missy go through in the last few weeks re-cooperating with her surgery. Plus my mother had a gastric bypass 7 years ago, when they didn't know as much and she wasn't screened as well as they do now. So I know what happens when you don't do everything you're supposed to and the surgeon does a poor job (her old surgeon can't even operate at that hospital anymore - too many deaths).

I'm ready for this and have been making the needed changes for several years and still working on things. I know I have the support that I need and with me and Missy doing this together we also have each others support.

Wish me luck, I'm ready to be a loser.

My date is Feb 9th.  Maybe we can keep up with each other.  My surgery will be in Memphis at St. Francis Hospital, Dr. Weaver. 

I am excited that the date is getting closer and I am looking forward to getting wonderful support from my friends here on the Tennessee board.

 Congrats!  I have the same surgeon and hope to be following close behind in your footsteps!  Probably a little later in February as I am still waiting to submit to insurance.

Morning Kenny!  Congrats on your surgery date, that is awesome.  what is so nice about your journey is, your wife is walking the walk with ya!

My wife and I had RNY about 5 months apart, and man let me tell you, it was great doing it together!  There are a few couples around that have done it as well.

If you ever need anything, give us a shout, and keep us abreast of your recovery!
