Hey y'all, who's moving today?
I had the brilliant idea last night to set up some chicken breasts to slow cook overnight in my crock pot. About 2 am, as the heat was building, it'd sputter and the lid would clack as the steam pushed at it. Apparently this set off my Dog Alarm, because Jack barked at it and the other 3 followed in suit. The barking went on for 2 hours. Well, it stopped when I went to sleep on the couch and zapped them with the squirt bottle every time they barked.
Anyway, I dragged myself back to bed around 4 am and slept straight through till 7. YIKES! My nut said to bump up my exercise by 10 minutes and I just slept right through it! And all I have to lose is 3.5 pounds. DOH! I made up for it as best as I can . . .
Today--So Far: about 60 minutes of walking between two walks. I'm up to 7700 strides and plan to do one more walk.
Yesterday--Accomplished: 3116 calories burned according to my body bugg and a grand total of 13,115 steps--yippeee!! I think that's the most I've ever recorded in one day! I didn't finish out my food diary for the day, though.
Tomorrow--Goals: lots going on at work and I have to pick up a visiting professor in the morning and work at a ribbon cutting ceremony in the evening. I hope to get up in enough time to get in 30 minutes per Jessica on the elliptical. We'll see!
Next??

As long as I am not stepping on anyone's toes, I am more than happy to help out and do the IDGOMB posts--it keeps me on the straight and narrow. I hope to meet Bob L next time he's on campus. His deliveries are a major contribution to a grand opening my group is having tomorrow. Small world!
Oh, I'm not worried that you haven't been able to respond. Life happens all the time. I just happen to be going through a slow phase at work and am making the most of it at OH. Heh heh. Shhh! Don't tell, though!
I am SO sorry to hear about your Mom's heart surgery. My dad had the same surgery years ago. Has all gone well with her? Sometimes I feel it's just as stressful for the families as it is for the patients. Just different. Hang in there and know I'm thinking of you and your family and we'll all get together as the Dandy Vandy's (I forget what you call 'em) soon enough.
I do feel touched that you are proud of me! Awwww! I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired. And it's great to have a group of people like on the OH TN board to bond with and draw inspiration from. Yourself included!!!
I would not be as far down the path as I am if it weren't for you guys.
Take care of yourself while you're taking care of your mom! And tell her she'd better be on the mend by sometime in February because hopefully that'll be when I have my surgery!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/sexy.gif)
Super big hugs!!!

Doesn't it though? I'm glad it felt great going, Cathy! It'll just draw you back the next time!
Sounds like you got in a great workout today working lots of different parts of your body. I'm sure shivering getting out in this nutty cold weather burned even more calories! Bonus!
Keep warm and I look forward to seeing what you do next for IDGOMB!

Lift with the legs, not with the back! ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/biggrin2.gif)
How soon until you move into your NEW HOUSE? It's bittersweet with your hubby's upcoming deployment, but exciting too Gidget. And it sounds like you'll have enough physical activity to keep you active for quite awhile.
Ugh. Boxing stuff up reminded me of my messy garage. Yikes. I need to rent another dumpster! And stop buying new stuff. Hee hee!
If you get out with the doggies tomorrow, dress warmly! You know it's going to be balmy 25 out there tomorrow.
Brrrrrrr!

I AM JEALOUS, Cheryl!!! I love working out in the pool as it's a really good workout but it feels fantastic and relaxing too.
Do I really need a living room? Would it seriously affect resale value if I replaced it with a pool??
Definitely say that in the morning and do a few extra leg lifts for me! I have the same exercises for "land," with my stretchy bands as I did in the pool with those leg thingies, but it's just not the same. Sigh.
It's great you guys work out together--you have built in exercise buddies!
Stay warm when you get out of that pool!
