YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yesterday I went to the hospital for pre-op testing.  They took about 6 viles of blood, chest xray and ekg.  I also pre-paid my co-pays and deductables to the hospital.   My expired insurance approval was extended!

It looks like all I will have to do now is to get very serious about my pre-op diet to start on the 26th of Jan and show up at the hospital for surgery on Feb. 9th.

I swear, I can almost hear the new me inside rumbling around and shouting "LET ME OUT!!"

Congrats to ya!    And you are right, you need to start getting very serious about your pre-op diet. Any weight loss will help make the surgery easier for both you and the surgeon. Also, use this time to get mentally prepared and determined to follow the program post-op and be a success!

That is great news Cathy!!!!! Yea I know that the preop diets are hard, but they are for your own good, just to reduce alittle of the fat around  your liver will mean alot when they go in. Also they will come less to bruising the spleen, just a safer measure all the way around for you. The more you get off the better  it is, I know you know this already. Sorry I don't mean to sound like I'm preach'n. but  this is just such an important part of the process. If you get hungry eat SF popcycles, I ate the Tropical Fruit kinds. They are really good. I still get them. Of course I don't get that hungry any more. But I lost 40 lbs before my surgery. I know that you are gonna  do just fine.

I have 11 pounds so far.  I think I can get at least 20 off prior to surgery.   I have some SF popcycles that I got from Walmart.  They are mixed.  Were you get the tropical ones?

I prefer the tropical flavors.

Thanks to everyone for their support

Oh, yeah! Sounds like it's going great. You'll be on the bench soon.
