Has anybody tried this?   I bought one of those HUGE tubs and I can't stand it.  Does anybody have an Idea of how to make this better or tolerable?

I know that my taste will change after surgery, but I can't imagine me liking this any better.  Any Advice?

Did you get it at GNC and still have your receipt?  Take it back!  I wanted a break from anything strawberry or chocolate and I never found a way to make it better.  The strawberry I exchanged it for is somewhat better.  PS: I also didn't like the Cookies and Cream, but the chocolate I got for it is tolerable.  If you can't take it back, how are you fixing it?  I thought it would be great to get 50 grams of protein in one sitting unitl my PCP said that our bodies can only absorb around 30 in one meal.  You might want to use one scoop in half the water so there would be less to drink.  That's how I'm going to drink it from here out.

I had to laugh when I saw your post,  Because I bought the Cookies and Cream at the same time I bought the Peach Mango.   I didn't post about it because I've only tried it once.  I thought I'd try it with some other add ons before I made my final decision on it.

I had already used both and had not kept the receipt.  I kind of imagined a $100.00 bill  flying out the window like that paper that flies out of the computer when you are deleting or downloading something .    BAWHAA HAA HAA!  (did I do that right?)

I think Bwaaahhaaa can be spelled anyway, if you can call that spelling.  LOL  Anyway, lesson learned:  Keep your receipt if you buy it from GNC.  The manager at our GNC is so nice!  She exchanged my experiments with no questions asked.  I was also impressed with the low carb count.  I thought Mel's word Isopuke was pretty funny even if I do drink it.  I hope you find something that works for you.

Edited to Add:  I have to drink it with lots of ice.  Added benefit:  as the ice melts, I get more fluids!

Five powerful words of advice that you will receive from the old timers:

STEP AWAY FROM THE ISOPUKE!

That stuff is nasty.  It has been known to cause people to vomit.  I hate the stuff.  If you cannot stand it now, then hon throw it out cause it will be MUCH SWEETER, MUCH MORE GROSS.

I originally bought it because it was low carb, no sugar and I am diabetic, so I thought this would be a good choice for me.  WRONG!

I know you are going to laugh, but it gets even worse.  (read my previous post).  I bought some Isopure Natural Vanalla and Choc. from Bariatric Eating because everyone was saying how wonderful it was.   Its not really not that bad.  It is tolarable, but I think it may have more sugar and carbs than I really need after WLS.

So when I tell you that I feel like my money is FLYING out the window.  I know you will understand.   I know to look on the recipe web sites for suggestions on how to mix this stuff and I know that it will depend on your individual taste after WLS, but I was trying to buy a little bit at a time prior to WLS to SAVE money.

Any input you have on this will be appreciated.

Oh honey you are just having a hard time.  PM me with your address, and I am going to send you some samples,ok?  And now you save them for after your surgery, when you will need them the most... And then you can try them all and find which one you like best AFTER surgery...  you poor dear!

I tried Isopure yesterday for the first time and it was awwwful!!!  I really like the Syntrax Nectar drinks, especially the fuzzy navel and strawberry kiwi.  It's more of a juice texture, high protein, low calorie.  There are no sugars in them either, which would be good since you are diabetic.  I liked them before surgery and like them even better now after surgery.  Take care!

Thanks Ash.  I have Fuzzy navel too and I like it.  I put some Tang SF drink (I like it better than CL) and it is really good.   Someone tole me that peach Iced tea CL is good mixed with it too, but that doesn't sound good to me, so I haven't tried it.
