A few things come to mind... one could be dehydration.  Another could be that your body has been through so much, and you are very tired.  The first year of your surgery, you can become tired very easy.  Also, whenever you don't feel good, you will show it in your face.  These things will pass.  Just keep doing what you know to do - protein, drinking your liquids, etc.

But, just to make sure, you should mention it to your gastric nurse or doctor, especially if you see other signs of being drained or not feeling well.

Definitely sounds like lack of fluids to me. Bill can always tell when I haven't had enough water, my eyes sink in and I have dark circles.

I know it's hard to get in all of your fluids and everything else during the early weeks. Just keep sipping away to stay on top of the fluid intake.

I think it's even easier to allow ourselves to get low on fluids during the winter. With the cold we tend to shy away from cold fluids and water, and the heated homes & businesses are even more drying.
