3 yr weigh-in
I saw Dr. Colquitt this morning before heading back to Nashville. He was quite pleased with my lab work, weight (148), and over all report. We did discuss the Rose gastric procedure if my weight keeps rising for next years weigh-in. It's a procedure that the Dr. goes down the throat to tighten the pouch. He's going to be starting them next year. It's a good thing I left the east side of Knoxville early. I-40 is a mess and the Dr.'s office had moved over to Blount Memorial hospital. My GI Dr. sent him a message regarding the trouble I am having with my bowels. I found green grapes does the job just fine. Forget all the harsh chemicals that weren't working. Now to just keep grapes in the house. LOL
I'm off to unload the van, and get some very needed sleep.

Right now he wants to wait as he's not going to be starting it until later. It's for those who start gaining back all the weight. Right now I'm not a candidate, but I constantly am hungry and wanting to eat. Yes my pouch has enlarged. Before just a few bites and I was full, now I am able to eat seconds and still not be full. An hour later my tummy is growling again. My first year I had lost 100%, the second year over 100%, now I'm at 86% weight loss. I've gained back several pounds. Gone from a size 6 to a size 10-12. Ten in jeans is too tight and 12's are too big. Even tops I've had to go larger. He says it's normal to gain back after 2 years. But for now he's going to just wait until he sees me again next January. Gosh, I don't even want to gain all that weight back on. But I've gone from 116 lb to 148 lbs. I'm one lb over normal on the BMI, which puts me overweight. Not good as far as I am concerned. But he says he's not worried at this time. Says it's normal as the pouch will stretch. My GI Dr. did a scope and even noticed that the pouch has stretched a lot. He's the one that let Dr. Colquitt know about it.
