I am struggling with finding a multi-vitamin that I can take, the liquids are AWFUL, I have tried taking them straight, I've tried mixing them in juice, and neither is working as a way of me getting them down.

If anyone has any help or suggestions, please let me know.....

Thank you!!!

Amy, I use the Kroger brand multi-vitamin, I take one a day and I just suck on them until they dissolve, they are not bad at all. They are called Kroger Zippy Zoo's. There are I think 3 different flavors/animals in the bottle and it only cost a couple of dollars and I think there are 60 in a bottle. I have a huge problem with the texture of stuff and meds and I love these. Hope this helps.

I use Bariatric Advantage vitamins.  They taste pretty good.  You chew them up...  plus they are made especially for us as wls patients.  And, there is also a vitamin called "Celebrate" which are also a line of bariatric vitamins.  I tried their chewable iron pills and I like them much better than the Bariatric Advantage iron pills.  They taste like orange children's bayer aspirin to me... which I always loved the taste of.

Amy,
At first I started with children's Flintstone's chewable vitamins but soon found out (the hard way) that they weren't actually absorbed well.  So, I went to Bariatric Advantage multivitamins.  They are chewable.  I get them in orange flavor and really like them.  I get them from http://www.bariatricadvantage.com/catalog online.  If you sign up for automatic refills, the shipping is free.  They are really good about changing shipping dates as well.  I read on their site that Kroger stores are supposed to start carrying them as well. They make a multivit especially for band patients.  I would be really careful with vitamins not specially formulated to WLS.  Vitamin defiency is a real problem for WLS pts whether they have RNY or a band.
