Flexible Spending Accounts
I have an HSA---Health Savings Account. From what I understand they are much less restrictive. First major benefit is the money carries over from year to year. I was told by our administrator that I could use it for supplements. Maybe our fellow OH member that is in benefits can clear up the difference in the two. I really don't know beyond the roll over feature.
Come join us on the loser's bench...there is always room for more!!!!!!!!

Our Flex Plan at work allows us to use it for OTC drugs, eyeglasses and contact lenses, and any medical or dental co-pays. Since protein supplements and vitamins are a requirement for WLS patients, they too can be claimed under our Flex. I increased my amount for 2009 because I've routinely used it up by the end of summer each year.
