What Happens?

What happens at these siminars, I am clueless. Should I bring anything? I want to be prepared . Please help............

You might want to take a notebook for taking notes, but if you don't it's no big deal.  They even supplied pens!  I was given a booklet and you can certainly take notes in that.  At my seminar, there was a patient who spoke then a presentation by one of the surgeons to talk about the more medical stuff. The presenters were very good about answering everybody's questions.  I found it very informative.   It's all good.

Basically you listen to the doctor and his nurse speak....  If you're going to Centennial's, Pam Davis who is a member here and a gastric bypass patient herself, is there.  You fill out some paperwork after intermission about your insurance and their insurance ladies are there to help you with any questions.

Most of the time, there are other patients who show up and they get to tell you how much they have lost and what comorbidities or meds that they used to have or take, and how they were able to come off those meds.  It is very interesting.

They also (or used to) provide food and drinks.  Best enjoy it while you can.  And in the words of Forrest Gump, "that's all I got to say bout that."  lol

It's looks like most of your question has been answered.  Just be prepared to listen and learn!  Educate yourself on every aspect of the surgeries!  Good Luck!
