Full Fledge RYN

Well today it finally happened.
I went to lunch with Debbie and a few friends to a Oriental restaurant we've eaten at before. I always go to their grill where I pick the food and they prepare it in front of you.
I usually pick a little shrimp, chicken, eggs, mushrooms and onions and just use the hot sauce well I wasn'****ching and I think he used a sauce that must have had sugar in it.
Because I had the Classic DUMP!
Never had one before, but barely made it to the bathroom twice before getting home then came the vomiting and sweating, light headiness.
I guess recognizing it for what it was it was made it easier. It wasn't the worst thing I've gone through, yet not pleasant. It passed in about 2 1/2 hours.
Just another phase of WLS!

whoa!!  sorry for the surprise there, Bob!

I like those kind of restaurants too.  Gives you some control but this reminds me of my grandma..... Not the best cook but she used to cook meals they looked simple and then  you tasted them and something is horribly amiss!   She'd always say something like.... "well, I put a little of (insert food that does not fit) in it.  you don't like it?"

Sorry that guy added a bit of his own touch but glad it has passed now!

Sorry you had the experience - it's definitely not a pleasant thing!

I had my first dumping experience just a few weeks after my surgery while on a Saturday motorcycle ride. We stopped at a McDonalds in Gadsden, AL because everyone else wanted to eat breakfast.  I thought I would be OK if I ate a scrambled egg.  Well, after about, about 3 or 4 bites, it hit me! WHOAAAAA!!! It was awful. I got the foamies, then the vomiting, sweating and shakes - I felt weak as water. I actually had to lie down on one of their booths at the back of the restaurant near the bathroom for about and 1 1/2 hours before I felt well enough to ride the motorcycle again.  I was told it was probably the grease they used to cook the eggs that caused the problem for me.

Yep I'm willing to bet its the sauce.  There are hidden sauces, sugars in those kinds of foods.

Let me ask...  did your head feel like it was gonna esplode?

Did you feel like you broke out in a cold sweat, only to feel all clammy?

Did your gut cramp so dang bad that you felt like you had an African flu?

Golly I miss those days.  LOL. Just kidding!

Sorry you felt so bad.  Sometimes it just happens because of those hidden ingredients even when we think we made good choices.  I bet you don't want oriental food for a few days at least!  Take care of your tummy.
