I love the idea of Saturdays, thank you so much!!!!   If ya'll ever want to venture to the Cookeville area, there are several of us here that probably can come up with a place for us to meet for dinner.  We have all the big chain resteraunts and even some smaller Mom and Pop places that are good too.

Picnics are great, there are lots of places in and around Nashville I've not picniced at in YEARS!!!   Of course I don't think I am ready to show myself at a pool, but Connor would love it!  We are definately into sporting events!!!    Don't know what ya'll are planning on doing on the farm in October, but if it involves a hayride, you can count Connor and I in on that!!    Light tours on buses are also fun, come next Christmas,  our faculty in VA would take a tacky light tour every year and it would cost about $20 per person if atleast 30 people rode the bus.   OR...  we could do a weekend camping trip to one of the state parks???  Snicker...   just an idea, my family loves camping!

You've come up with some really great ideas, I don't live in Nashville, but if there is anything I can do to help please let me know!  I love get togethers!!!

I cannot wait to meet ya'll!!!

Thank you for all your hard work, Cheryl.  Hope you and Phil have great and productive doctor visits tomorrow!

HUGS

Amy, thanks so much for all the ideas, they sound great, especially about some of us coming to your neck of the woods. We had a picnic last year and it was a great success, I'm pretty sure that we will have another one this year. The farm that I was talking about is place that has pumpkin patches, hayrides, bonfires, etc. I tried to get us in last year, but it was too late, so like I said I am going to start on them earlier this year. I will have to find the website and send it to you for you to take a look at. It really looks like it would be a blast, you can either buy food there or we can bring our own food in and cook it ourselves at the bonfire, they have hay bales around the bonfire to sit on. I will send you the link when I find it again.....lol I too like the idea of the Christmas light tours, again this year sneaked up on me and could not find anything, but I will try again this year. I will give you a hollar when we get things going.

Cheryl

I think the idea of a hayride was a great one.  I was sad that it was canceled!  I hope we do one this year.

Ron and I would like to have everyone back to east TN this fall as well.  We want to make it an annual event.  We don't have to do a low country boil, we can do anything.  Any time in Sept, Oct or early Nov would be great.  Also, Cades Cove has a GREAT hay ride in the fall that would be loads of fun!

I'd like to try to join, if I could.   I think that I won't be able to do anything in January.   Hopefully, I'll be having the switch portion of my DS done this month.   The last Saturday at 6:30 sounds good to me.

I LOVE the chicken Caesar salad at IHOP!!    When i'm fully switched, I'll be able to eat the salad dressing, too!   Yummm

I've never heard of Red Robin.   I had no idea they even had them in Nashville!

Cheryl thanks for taking the bull by the horns.  I agree with the day change.  Saturday's are much better.    All of the suggestions sound wonderful too.  There are all sorts of places to consider.  Maybe everyone could do some investigating and come up with one suggestion.    I think as long as we staff away from BUFFET's everyone should be able to find something.  And i don't know about everyone else but doggie bags are my friend these days.  LOL.
Come join us on the loser's bench...there is always room for more!!!!!!!!

That is great Rebecca and the little one and hubby are invited for sure. Just keep watching the board for all the details. I will be making a decision and posting it for January in a few days. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Wow Cheryl you are on top of it.  I really liked the Lunch Bunch we had at the IHOP.  I didn't know that they even had fish there until we went!  I am hoping that I will be able to make it more often in 2009 and Saturday will be much better than the Friday now that I have classes on Saturday and felt I couldn't stay out "late" on Friday nights.  LOL.  Early to bed and early to rise...  Anyway, looking forward to seeing you all soon.  I will have to try the RR with you all, the only time I have ever gone it wasn't very successful for me, but am willing to give it one more try.  :-)  Other than that, I am always open for Red Lobster and the Salmon at Bucca's is awesome.  Ok, have to go it is nearly 10pm.
