Dinner Club changes for 2009

The Dinner Club days and times are changing for 2009. They are going to be the last Saturday of each month and they will be at 6:00 p.m. I am also thinking about our out of towner's that might want to drive down on Sat, meet with us, and maybe making it a little weekend trip for them. We are still tossing around the idea of us traveling to other cities to join in some events. I would like to see us move around Nashville some also, but of course that will all depend on who wants to come and who doesn't. I'm sure that we can always get our fantastic normal place Red Robin, and I know that I can get IHOP @ Hickory Hollow whenever I want it......LOL but I am open to venturing around town also. So put your thinking caps on and get me some suggestions that are family friendly. We can plan an adult only night sometime also, if everyone wants to. I have allready been thinking about trying to get that farm for sometime in October, like I tried to do last year, I will be starting on them sooner this year. We can also plan like picnics, pool partys, movie nights, bowling nights, baseball nights at the Sound's,special birthday's, anniversary, etc. whatever ya'll want I will try to plan things so that everyone will have the chance to join us several times during the year, but I will need your input. I am also open if someone would like to have a superbowl party, just another suggestion. I hope this post gets lots and lots of replies so we all can meet up with new and old loser's............lol

I would consider coming but do not like Red Robin nor IHOP.  Neither are on my preferred list of places to eat.  Perhaps Longhorn Steakhouse would be a good location. I love the food there, or Chili's some day.  Even Logan's.

I like your suggestions and will consider them. As far as IHOP, my son is the general manager and the last time we had it there, it was a blast. Him and his staff took very good care of us by preparing our food how ever we wanted it. They have the eggbeaters in place of the regular eggs. They will fix the food in pam, they have salads with several types of dressings. If they have it in his store and we want it they will prepare it how we want it......believe it or not he still does as his mommy says..............lol. But seriously, there is alot there that we can have. Now on to RR, we go to the one in Mt. Juliet and again they take excellent care of us. We all usually get some type of burger, wether it be turkey or regular and we get it lettuce wrapped in stead of a bun and they will let you leave off the fries and you can get melon. They also have several salads to choose from. We have a waiter there that we ask for every time we go, so he knows what we can and can't have too and he will tell you............lol Thanks for your input. How do you feel about the day and time change?.

The dates seem good to me...  but I will tell you that I'm not sure, actually pretty sure I cannot make the Jan one.  Tim and I are working feverishly on the house remodel, and we have to be done, and moved by jan 31st! Whew, it is a lot of hard work....  but February should be a go.

Sounds like we have big plans in the works......I'm game for any and or all......good idea about changing to saturday for out of towners......I would be in on a Superbowl party especially since the Titans will be playing ( we hope).....let me know if you need help with any of the planning/preparing for stuff, I am beginning to sort of get my wind back (at least a little, anyway)from my surgery.............WENDY

I'm gonna try...thanks for your input and glad you like the changing of the day and time. I too really like the idea of the Superbowl party, the only problem there is our house is no where near big enough, so if we want to do this, then we will have to find a place for it, but I think it is doable. I will give you a hollar when things get going. Gald to hear that you are doing good and good to see you posting again.

Saturday evenings are definitely better for us out of towners.  Hopefully with these changes, we can come in several times a year.  We love Red Robin but I'm with Mel on IHOP-since I can no longer eat cheese blintzes, I don't go there.

I kinda thought ya'll might like that........lol I know about all the bad at IHOP, but there is alot of good too, check out my reply above about it. Hope ya'll will be able to come down for several during the year. Glad to hear you have gotten rid of your sling, but like others have said, just be careful and take it slow. I bet cooking in the kitchen won't be near as funny now..............lol

Thanks for the reply Erika. I also want to appoligize for New Year's Eve, I wish that you had found out sooner about the time change. It seem's like Phil and I really messed the whole night up for several. We was actually in the ER @ 11:45 so we rung in the new year in style...............lol........not. But we was where we needed to be, not where we wanted to be.......lol. Hope that you and your family will be able to join in on several events this year.
