do it again???

 I know I'm probably being pittiful, but I just read that a barium swallow is required after lap band? Is this true? I just want to prepare myself. My doctor is Dr Woodman in Memphis.

It has been so long since I have had my surgery I had to think about it. After surgery they took me down to have an x-ray to make sure everything was going through ok. I think I only had to drink water for them to watch it on the screen. Could be wrong, it could have been something else. Maybe Phil will pop in and let you know, he just had lapband surgery recently.

First of all Debbie you look awesome!!!! I do remember having a barium swallow test after surgery.....however it is nothing to worry about because you are still so groggy that you don't remember the taste at all and of course they don't hurt. Soooooo....rest easy and don't sweat it. It really was not a big deal. Best of Luck to you with your surgery!
