Could someone tell about how long it took to get approved with Anthem BC/BS

Sorry I don't have my insurance card in front of me. Is Anthem BC/BS the same as BC/BS of TN? It didn't take me long to get approved, but I do know that they want every single criteria met. It took me submitting records from two doctors offices to prove that I had been obese for 5 years. Once they had all the information, it wasn't too long as I recall.

Centennial has a support group at the Cookeville hospital the second Weds of the month at 5:30 and as far as I know, you don't have to be a Centennial patient to go. I've never been 'cause I'm at work, but I hope to make it someday.

I 'm going to the one in January. I have my first consult with surgeon on jan. 8th. I hope everything goes pretty fast. My son is great. Thank you for your reply.

Hi Ronda, BC Anthem typically takes 7 - 10 days to turn around a request once they receive it. I've included a link to the page on our website with all of the different insurnance criteria www.cmcwls.com/default/affordability, scroll to the bottom of the page, Anthem is about the 4-5th one down.
