Been Gone A Long Time
I haven't been visiting OH for a long time because I had all but given up. My surgeon moved away and my psychologist won't approve me, and she won't give me a good reason why. I've gotten so tired of jumping through hoop after hoop for her with no end in sight. I finally took a month-long break from visiting her and did some independent thinking. I also had a heart to heart with the PA at the surgeon's office and told her that I was going to see a different psychologist. She suggested that I first confront the present psychologist with my feelings. So I will see her next on 1/7, but I also made an appointment with a new psychologist just in case my present psychologist doesn't address my concerns to my satisfaction. I also admitted that I had reverted to my original desire to have band surgery rather than bypass surgery. I have definite reasons why it was, and is, my surgery of choice. I have my first meeting with the new surgeon mid-January. We'll see what he has to say. Anyway, its good to be back. It's my Christmas present to myself. I hope everyone is having the warmest, most wonderful Christmas ever, and that we'll all be seeing "less" of each other in 2009!
