prayer request

I got a call from my sister late yesterday afternoon. Normally I don't answer my cell phone at work but something told me to answer when I saw her name pop up on my caller ID.

When my 13 year old nephew got home from school yesterday he found his 23 year old sister unresponsive in their apartment.

These are my youngest sister's 2 youngest kids and both of them have Cystic Fibrosis. Stacy's health has been going steadily downhill for several years now. On the other hand, Jarrett, appears to be healthy. Please pray that this continues.

My sister said Stacy had not responded well to her latest round of treatment and she had not been feeling well the night before. Marisa's oldest daughter's husband is a police officer in Clarksville so he went to her apartment with the detectives sent to investigate. He let her know that it appears Stacy laid down to take a nap and just didn't wake up.

They will have to do an autopsy which is standard procedure anytime a death occurs unexpectedly outside of a hospital. This means they won't even release the body for about 3 days.

Even though we have known since Stacy was an infant that this day was coming, we were still not ready for this. My sister is handling it better than I expected. She was able to talk to me at least. I asked her how Jarrett was handling it and she said he is in shock. I don't know that he will ever be able to go back into that apartment.

You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this hard time.  Life is unfair for parents who have to suffer a loss of a child.

Susan,

I will most definitely be in prayer for you, and for your family.  May the Lord send comfort to the hearts of those that mourn, and hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Honey I am so sorry to hear this.  Knowing it was bound to happen and then happen just doesn't prepare us.  Words can not express my sorrow for you and your family at this time of year.  I will keep you in my prayers as well as your sister's family.  Maybe knowing she's no longer suffering and is great hands, maybe can bring some peace to your family.

May our Lord be with each of you at this time.

Love Kathy
