Finally ....New Surgery Date

I verified yesterday that Dr. Weaver's recertification with UHC was recieved this week, so I can have my surgery.  They have rescheduled my Surgery for Feb 9th.   As of yesterday there doesn't look like it will be before then.  

NOTE:  The recertification process was due to Dr. Weaver going into private practice.   It was not because of any other reason.  As irritated as I may be because of my own situation, I don't want anyone thinking there is anything wrong with the Doctor.  Just a mismanaged paperwork problem that caused the whole thing.

Congratz on your Date hon, that I know is such a relief!!! The not knowing is nail biting!!! Maybe not so much if you got false teeth!!! LOL Ok I'll behave, anywho, time will pass fast and you will do great, I know that Leticia  and Sharon both had Dr. Weaver and thank the world and all of her.

Congrats Cathy.I am jealous.I wish that my surgery was in Feb.I just got an appointment for the dietician at St.Francis on Dec 30th.I was told by Leslie that Dr.Weaver was booked until April already with surgery.How lond did it take for your surgery to get scheduled after  you seen the dietician and the Nut.

I started this process in July.  I did not get my first appointement with Dr. Weaver until October 3rd.  she set my original surgery date for Dec 22nd and then had to delay it until Feb 2nd because of the certification mess up.  

Apparently after the paperwork mess up the hospital told them to reschedule all of us caught up in the paperwork mess to Feb.  I have no doubt that she is probably backed up till April.    I have discovered that this is a "hurry up and wait game   \

Do you have your appointment with Dr. Weaver yet?  That is when they will set your surgery date.

Hi Cathy.I have just gotten through with my 6 month follow up appointments with my PCP,had my psych eval, my PCP has already wrote a letter approving the surgery,I have had my sleep apnea test and am awaiting the results of that.So now I have the appointment with Jackie on December 30th.I was told by Leslie that you do not get to see Dr.Weaver until you have completed the Dietician and Nutrional Classes. Or should I go on ahead and schedule an appointment to see DR.Weaver?

I didn't get to see Dr. Weaver until I had attended both classes and got an approval from my insurance company.  I can't  speak for the Dr's office, but that is what I had to do. 

Sounds like you are on your way!  I've had a few stumbling blocks, but over all things have gone well.  

At least the mess-up got straighted out!  Feb. 9 will be here soon enough!  I don't even want to see Feb 7, cause I will be 50 on that day!
