I have a question, please.

Ok, so here I am day two out of surgery, and well, I thought I would pop on the scale this morning and be pleasantly surprised..  surprised is right, pleasant is not!  I weigh more now than I did before my surgery.

Is it because of all the air they pumped in? But isn't air suppose to be weightless? The air is coming out slowly in so many lovely ways!  I mean I'm drinking like I'm suppose to, I'm walking, I'm going to the bathroom (sorry probably an overshare) but I don't understand the added weight...   is it normal? or should I be calling the doctor's office?

Overall, I am feeling much better today!  It is easier to get around and get a few things done.

Just curious as to anyone else experienced this or if I should be concerned.

Thank you!
Amy

Amy,
Not to worry!  It's swelling!  Plus not only do they put air in but they flush you with saline at the end of surgery and they never seem to get it ALL out.  Give yourself another week to see a difference.
Merry Christmas

First Off take that scale and toss it or take it to someone elses house. The just work your pouch.

I just bought my first scale and I only weigh myself once a week. Every Sunday and thats it I put it away and dont take it out again.

Second give your poor body a break it just went under major surgery let  your pouch heel before you expect it to work for you. Even athletes get to heal after major surgery before expecting to preform 100%.

Just go easy I know you are eager to be healthy but heal first. This is all a process......slow an dsteady wins the race.

Good Luck

Ditto what Marilyn & HotMama said. Just relax,  give it some time, follow the program to the letter, walk and sip and it will work.

OK AMy, it's time for the advice I give everyone...

BREATHE !!!!!!!

You are right, they pump you so full of air and fluids during surgery, that it will take a little time for things to even out!  So, work the tool you've been given.  Eat like the Doc & Nut says.  And ...

BREATHE !!!
