Well its been a super year I have lost over 130 pounds and I have exceeded goal. I am so thankful for this site it has got me through some tough days and made me laugh through some great funny moments.

I look back a year ago and and I never thought I would be in the place I am today. I even am appreciative of the people who were not so nice to me. What does that mean really? A year ago I would have shut myself up and not let anyone close enough to say hurtful things to me.

NOW I am a strong woman who looks forward to life and my first Marathon in August 2009. I have 2 children in college and I wake up every morning thankful for my family and especially my WLS family.

I am no super woman and by far not the perfect WLS patient but I do believe this journey has brought me to a very different place,a place where I can learn and grow from each and every person I have come in contact with.

To those who have taught me......THANK YOU
To those who have been mean to me.....THANK YOU
To those who have had my back and supported me through this very long deployment ................ THANK YOU
TO MY HUSBAND who has been my best friend and my lover and my own personal cheerleader I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU VERY MUCH! THANK YOU MY DARLING.

Susan,
Congratulations on a very successful year.  You are another inspiration to those of us who are just beginning this journey.
Keep up the good work.

Way to go Susan!

There is nothing like reaching a goal, and then realizing that you made it because people were cheering you on!

My 1 year will be coming up very quickly, and I understand where you are in your journey.  I hope and pray that this next year will be easier than the last and full of rewards for you!

Thanks Marilyn, No it has not been easy cause he left 3 weeks after my surgery and will coming home around Valentines day so he will defiantly be seeing the new me. But we have been together so long and have worked at our marriage so hard behind the Army so or struggles aside the surgery made us what we are today.

Again thank you
