Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone on this board is attending the new Lap Band Group at Scales Nutrition and Wellness Center??   From what I understand it is the group that was started w/Victor O'Bryan...so I would be interested in hearing from anyone that attended that group as well.  I am contemplating joining this group and wanted to hear some feedback.

Thanks, Becky

Hi Becky!

I can't answer your question.  I saw your post and just wanted to drop in and say hi.  How are you doing since surgery?  Hope everything is fine!

Don't be a stranger!

Hi Becky,
I don't attend that Lap Band group, but I do attend one at Centennial on the first Tuesday Night of the month.  It's ran by Paul Cart, the lab band guy.  Everyone is welcome to attend the group no matter which hospital you are going to.  Let me know if you're interested.

Hugs,
Tammy P

I haven't attend the one you speak about or the one at Centennial.  I have attended the one at Baptist Metabolic Center, but it has been a while.   I would be interested in going, would you be kind enough to post the location, date and times of the meetings.   I think a group meeting would help me get past the stall I am at.

Thanks
Sherry

So not to confuse anyone...the group I am speaking about is not an open group.   They will bill your insurance or you can pay out of pocket.   They are taking a limited number of persons for this session...which meets twice a month for six months.   They have a doctor, therapist and a nutriionalist to do the meetings.   I am sure they want persons that will commit to the 6 months.  The lady I spoke with said once the group has joined...first meeting Dec 8th...then those will be the persons meeting for the six months.   Meaning you won't have to get to know alot of new persons during the six month period.    I think the meetings are held right at the baratric center.  The phone number for information is 615-284-4432 - Scales Nutrition and Wellness Center.    The lady that handles signing up is going to call me on Monday, then I will know more.

Hey, Scott....thanks for checking in!   I am doing pretty good...down about 65lbs since March.  Even though I don't post often...I do read and check on everyone.   Have a great Holiday Season!

Becky-

Since I had VSG and ultimately in Mexico I do not attend that meeting.  But I do go to one in Hermitage.  It meets the 3rd thursday of the Month at 6:30p.  I am blanking on the name of the church where they meet but I like it.  I went to one in Hendersonville besides this one prior to surgery as part of the VU requirements.  The one in hendersonville was awful.  The "leader" sat and ate junk food thru the meeting and everyone just whined.  I couldn't wait to get out of there.  Joe Estep is the leader of the one in Hermitage.   He had RNY at Centennial and really is helpful and a great guy.  We have a little of everything there.  If anyone wants the info on where to meet send me a pm and I will get it to you.  I found the group on here and have been going post surgery.  It is a good group.

Congrats on your weight loss.  Keep up the good work.
