Decision made and a NSV to top it off!!!
First of all I want to say thanks to everyone that responded to my post from yesterday. It really means alot to know that so many people care.
Now, I've decided to go ahead and schedule the surgery. I called Danita today. I go to the office on Tuesday to get everything rolling. I'm hoping that he can do it the week after thanksgiving or maybe the next week. I also don't really understand why he has to cut me open to do the surgery. That's one of the many questions I will be asking on Tuesday. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. My WLS surgery made the 8th surgery I've had and the 13th time I've been put to sleep for some kind of procedure. None of those scared me as bad as this one does. I know I'm in good and capable hands but I'm still scared.
Ok, now for the NSV. Went christmas shopping this evening. Of course I bought as much for me as I did anybody else. Anyway, I bought me a size 8 jeans!! Size 8!!!!!! I haven't been in a single digit jean since I was a single digit age!! LOL. Seriously, though. It just blew my mind. I had to call my mom and tell her. She's jealous!! My mother has always been about a size 8-10, sometimes smaller. She had lung cancer a year and a half ago and had to quit smoking. She also retired in June so needless to say that she's put on some weight. I love it! I've never been the smallest one in my family except when I was very young.
Thanks again everyone for your thougts, prayers and some advice. I will post again after I go to the dr on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend and try to stay warm, if that's possible. Is it just me or does everyone else stay frozen all the time?
