OK -- I did it!

I have officially done everything "I" can do to have RNY.  Dr. Richards office said they will let me know when they submit my stuff to insurance(BCBS).  Any ideas on how long till I know something?   I do beleive that I will go out of my mind waiting...

Ericka, we are all very proud of you...  hopefully it won't be very long before you hear something...  I would call the insurance company in a few days, perhaps Tues or Weds. to make sure they got it.  Sometimes they will SAY that they did not... but stay on them.

First let me say congrats...and I to have BCBS of TN and it took a week before I was denied...now I sent in the appeal the same day I was denied and within 2 days I received my approval..I did stay in contact with BC as well as the doc office..By the way your in great care with Dr. Richards. (I see Dr. Melvin)...

I have sent a prayer that it will be approved for you on the first go around but for any reason they deny you dont worry or get upset just keep at...

Techically I have BCBS of Minnesota.  I don't know if that will make a difference, but they do have slightly different requirements.  Thanks for the prayers!

I've known others that had BC/BS of MN. and they seemed to go through without a hitch. I had BC/BS of TN at first mine was denied found out it was a typo (my fault) in transcribing weights and dates. I corrected the typo and was approved two days later. Good luck this the toughest part of the journey! C'ya Bob
