I will be honest. I don't know about those types of problems, and I can't think of anyone offhand that has had them either... I will have you in my thoughts and prayers, most definitely. It would be a hard decision to make. I hope that they can take care of your health problems. Please keep us posted.

I can feel some of your pain. I had this about 4 years ago and it suck's big time. They done the the colon test on me also, lucky for me mine was able to be treated with meds. I was on meds for about 6 months and have been fine since then. I have had no flare ups at all and I am so thankful for that. I too have heard great things about Dr. McDowell, you are in good hands. As far as the second opinon, that is something that you and hubby will have to determine, it might not be a bad idea, especially if it would make the both of you feel better. I understand about you wanting to put the surgery off until after the 1st of the year, I am having to put some things off until Feb. 1st until I get Insurance again, and I am in alot of pain because of it. I don't have much choice on waiting. If it was me and I would do it as soon as possible, because like you said there could be major complications if you wait and have another episode. I wish you the best on whenever you decide to have it done. Keep us posted and let us know if we can do anything.
