I had RNY on 9/16 and since a couple of weeks after surgery I've had numbness in my right hip.  It's like if you're foot or leg goes to sleep.  all *****ley and can get quit painful.   It goes from my pelvis, my hip and some of my thigh.  I've had trouble with my back before which has acted up some since surgery so I wasn't sure if maybe it was the surgery its self or my back acting up.  Anyone else had this happen after wls?

I had the same issue, except mine was on the left side.

I told Dr Lynch about it and he said that it may have something to do with them tilting you up and you slide down on the table.

I had surgery on the 18th of Aug and it has started to go away now.

I also talked to my PSP doctor and he said that it should go away as well and there is nothing that can be done.  He said that it can take about 2-3 months.

I hope that this helps.

Michael.
