Turtle's Surgery

Hey Gang,

Wanted to give you all an update on the wife (Turtle77).

Unfortunately, when Dr. Lynch got a look inside her, he discovered she has Psorsis of the Liver and an enlarged spleen. He pretty much had to "abort" at that point until we can drill down further on Chernal's liver condition

We're back home now and looking forward to getting past this roadblock. While she wont have the gastric option ever again due to the scarring, we're hopeful that she can explore other avenues (Lap band, etc..) once we get this one resolved.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.

John, I am so sorry for this road block! 

My sister was scheduled for RNY, but when they went it, her scarring ws to significant for it.  She ended up having the Vertical Sleeve.

When Dr. Spaw did my procedure, he found the same with me, but he was able to proceed with my surgery, I feel for both you and your wife, as I know how dissapointed I would have been if Dr. Spaw was not able to continue with my surgery.  We can only pray that this will pass and we are all here for both you and your wife.

  I am so sorry to hear about your wife Chernal's (turtle77) surgery ordeal.  I can't even begin to wrap my mind around what she must be going through. 

  Would you please tell her that I am thinking about her and praying for her. 

  I gotta go to work right now but I will return and talk more later...   There are lots of options and we need to make sure she stays encouraged...  Give her a big hug for me...
