It has been 3 months since Aliyah was born. Time goes by very quickly. She is changing so much everyday. I had to learn real quick that there was no more Misty time. One thing I had accomplished in the past 2 years since I had surgery was getting "ME" time. I always thought that meant you were being selfish but I learned that if you are happy then others around you will be happy. So, I always tried to do more things for me - like go shopping, or to dinner with some girl friends, or get a manicure or be involved in this board. Me doing small things for myself made me a much happier person and really helped my marriage and other relationships. I also think it helped me succeed with weight loss because if you are happy you tend to be healthier. Now, I don't have that anymore. That has probably been the hardest thing to deal with since having her (even more so than lack of sleep). But I would gladly give up my time to be with Aliyah. She means the world to me and my life is all about her now. I would like to find more time for myself and to be more involved in the board again but it is hard because my life is hectic. Hopefully, I will get back to that soon. We are going on our 1st family vacation next week. Travelling with a baby- Sheesh. Wish us luck!
Here is a link to some updated pictures of Aliyah when she was 2 months old and for Halloween.

Hope everyone is doing good!

Oh my gosh!  She is such a doll...  Ok so that joke fit well... since she is dressed as Raggety Ann! LOL.  But oh she is so gorgeous. She really has grown!  I love the outfit.  She looks just like the other raggedy ann dolls in that one picture.

I sometimes wonder what kind of mom I would have been or would be.  I sometimes think I am too selfish to be a mother.  It surely is a wonderful thing, I love to see other mothers with their kids when they are at Aliyah's age. They are just so precious.  And I am also certain that you are a wonderful mother...  April too.  I can imagine that your kids will be quite happy and much loved!

She is too cute!!! I love her costume and that pic with her in the little cradle. She looks like an oversized babydoll.

I know what you mean about no more me time. It has been very hard focusing on my own health while tending to Nick's needs and wants. I have been very slack in vitamins and protein and I am definitely feeling the result....it isn't that I am intentionally not following the good ole rules...it is just I go to take my vitamins and I get distracted with Nick. He is on the move now...not walking yet but crawling, standing, and cruising along the furniture. He is super fast... I'll blink and he'll have crawled across the house. I don't know how you are managing with working too... I'd be a basket case if I had to go to work on top of taking care of baby, hubby, and house.

Good luck traveling with Aliyah.... I haven't travelled with Nick yet and I really don't have the slightest inclination to do so lol Brave woman!!

Good to see you posting.  Thanks for sharing pictures. I was just getting ready to post some of Nick myself.

Take care,
April

What an absolute cutie she is.  I love her Halloween costume.  Misty, you can find time to do the things you used to do, you just have to incorporate the help of your husband into your activities.  He needs one on one time with Aliyah as well and that is the time when you can go have lunch with your friends, go get a manicure, or spend time on the board while he spends time developing his relationship with Aliyah.  It's all about give and take and it can be done.  I know it seems overwhelming and hard right now, but you just have to set a plan in motion and then make it happen.  Hang in there girl, it will happen.  Good luck with your vacation. I hope you all have a safe trip and enjoy yourselves. Take care and we'll see you on the board soon.
