I've been taught well!
Yes folks, Mel has taught me well. I went in with the intention of buying 2 cases of those chips. Every year at Christmas, beth and I make candy. Last year we did not because my surgery was only 7 days from Christmas. We have been trying to figure out what we were gonna do this year. Lo and behold, Mel posted an answer!
They only had 9 bags, evidently some other gastric bypass patient had been there before me...have any of you been hiding out at the East Nashville Wally World? LOL!!! Anyway, I bought all 9 bags, froze 8, and made chocolate chip cookies last night! 1 cookie after dinner and I was in chocolate chip heaven!
These are not calorie free, carb free, or weight reducing friendly. So, remember my mantra if you try them...

LOL Great minds think alike. I thought the exact same thing! But you know how tempting and how much of atrigger the peanut butter cookies are for me...
I've had a bag of sf choc chips for a year, at least. I take out a few every now and then... I got them from Bariatric Eating but they no longer sell them.
I checked out the Super Wally at Harding Place yesterday and there was not a bag of sugar free chips in the place. I was bummed!!
Y'all could always do what I do when I make cookies for Bill. Once I have the batter mixed and am ready to spoon it onto baking sheets, instead of baking all of the cookies I fill the baking sheet with the globs of dough and freeze the whole sheet. Once they are frozen they will pop off the sheet and I freeze the individual balls in a Ziploc bag. Then I can bake just a few at a time whenever Bill wants hot, fresh cookies.
I am now on a quest for the SF chocolate chips. I will find them!!

If you do happen to find some would you pick me up 4 bags?
I'm going to continue looking.
