IT'S TRUE, IT'S TRUE!

I found out a secret yesterday.  Could not wait to get to Walmart tonight to find out if it was true.  Maybe you already know about the secret.  Maybe not.  Maybe you're not at a stage where you can have these yet.  Maybe you are.  Maybe it would be worth buying.

ok enough !  The secret is:  Walmart has sugar free Hershey chocolate chips in the baking section!  They are 2. a bag.  There they were, nice and piled high, and they look exactly like the other chocolate chips.  One says "milk chocolate" the others say "sugar free".

LOL, nah I didn't buy em all.  BUT... given the history Walmart has...  we best buy up a pallet to last us for the remainder of our lives.  You know how Walmart gets rid of stuff. LIKE MY BELOVED MOO MAGIC. And, Hood Calorie Countdown Milk.  And, Splenda Sweetened Mrs. Freshleys snack cakes.

Why yes, they are calorie & carb free... How did you guess?!? JUSS KIDDING.

No they are not. That's the reason we exercise portion control... and do our daily food journal. But for those on the board, they know my little soap box speel on how sugar free does NOT equal carb, calorie, fat free... and that they can be just as bad for our weight and weight loss efforts as the REAL deal (sugar products).

BUT, after being flamed when putting a disclaimer on a past post, I stopped "disclaiming'...  I was told that each person on here knows the stages they are on, and what they need to eat or not eat...  so I just stopped being the food police.  Each person is responsible for knowing what stage of the journey they are in, and I leave it at that.  I simply pass on the wealth of knowledge for if/when they need it.

Now I can enjoy a sugar free dessert without heaving my guts out...

Thanks Melinda! I'm glad you clarified. I know several patients that have had dumping syndrome on "sugar free" foods because there were still carbs in the product and they were really sensitive dumpers.

They are good!  Walmart sells them every year for the Holidays, so stock up now!  They freeze well.

I had seen someone advertise another product on a different wls site... not sure if they are good, but forgot all about it.  Then Wendy found them and reminded me.  They are at LowCarbChocolate.com and here is the link:  SF Chocolate Chips or cut & paste:
